Assessments our district uses
AIMSweb
We use AIMSweb to keep data for Early Literacy, Early Numeracy, DORF (a DIBELS set of tests), MAZE, DAZE, MCAP (Math Concepts) and M-CBM (Math Computation). We give the assessments three times per year and progress monitor between the benchmark testing. We use the data to monitor student progress and for placement for MTSS.
NWEA
We use the NWEA standardized tests to monitor student progress in the areas of Phonics, Phonemic Awareness, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Number Sense, Geometry, Algebra, and Data. NWEA assessments can tell a teacher whether or not students are projected to score at proficient or above on the Kansas State Assessment.

The student's reward for doing so well on the state assessments was to make a human sundae out of our principal!
In 2014, our school was privileged to have our principal's "twin brother", rock star Richie Cunningham, come and sing for us. It was awesome!! The kids (and adults) loved it!!!! The actual singing starts about 5:51.
